Back to square one

So, I got to Longwood thursday...it's now satruday.

My roommate's pretty cool. He makes the same corny jokes as me, and his girlfriend (who basically lives in our room) is cool too. He's got a few friends here, and I'm trying to make a segue into some sort of social scene by being what I call a friend-mooch, or tag-along. But not in a too obnoxious way, just a come along and meet people way. It's so weird having to start all over again. Most every new place I go to, I end up meeting a group of friends...so I'm not too worried.

The folks here are pretty nice. The first night, I went with Sean (roommate) to an AXP (frat) get together. Got waaayy too drunk, proud I managed to get home. Had to register for classes all hungover and stuff. The head of the french dept's pretty hot. Ok, cute. I've got him for a French phonetics class this semester. Fun stuff. Then, last night, I was outside smoking a cigarette, and these random frat guys (if i mistype and type fart, i'm really sorry) invited me to drink with them. Had a few, came home, frumped around. A few drinks...not frat guys (obviously).

The rooms are smaller than I'm used to for dorms. Standard for normal schools...but not for GW. I kinda miss the absurdity of GW. This place seems a bit normal. Like, where guys are guys and girls are girls. Not gonna lie, I kinda miss spoiled jersey girls, big sunglasses and big hair. Didn't think I would at all, but that little constant that I hated when I was there is now missed. Funny how that works.

That's about all I have to report. Don't know what I'm doing tonight. Nothing seems like the strong bet.
