Yyyeah, I'm not feeling Hayek. I thought she was okay last episode, I didn't even hate even kind of liked her and Jack's storyline (she made him all giddy and happy and cute, aw) but this time around she irritated me. And all I could think about was, "Ack, I would be so excited at the parallels between her and Liz if Tina wasn't so emphatic about Liz and Jack never getting together." Seriously, though, Hayek's character being in a different 'class,' while Liz's storyline involves trying to prove how much in that class she is?
And where were Frank and Toofer? D:
Anyways. We'll have to wait and see about next episode. *crosses fingers*
See above comment to lz1982 about the class thing. :D
I've heard The Powers That Be are trying to push the show away from its "Show within a show" format, which necessitated the removal of some key plays, so the writers roles will now be tiny or nonexistent, I guess. :(
I'M SO EXCITED FOR NEXT EP. :)
Tonight's just really didn't hit me right. The pacing was off, and it felt like there was a different director or different writers, imo.
Aww, really? Do you know why they're doing that? It's odd, I thought I would want a "Jack and Liz Show," but I really love the minor characters. That's too bad. :(
YAY, ME TOO! :D
Yeah, like one of you or both of you said up there, I was unimpressed with Hayek's timing, but it did feel like everyone was a bit off, or the show in general. Huh.
I thought Don Scardino was the director, and he's their usual guy. Can't remember who the writer was. "The best screenwriter in the world--whoever that is."
