Education.

People spend years focusing on one thing at the expense of everything else. Including, and especially, common sense. Then, they get their wonderful, money-grubbing job, and throw everything into it, so they can be rich and respected by their fellow educated idiots. They go to work, focus for eight plus hours, interrupted only by the need

This problem is not just in America, it's the same in Europe unfortunately.

I'm trying hard not to let my work take over my life, but I think the only way to do that efficiently is to find a more meaningful career!
