My Astronomy professor was rather amusing today, despite me being very unhappy about no longer being on Spring Break, and sucking majorly at that class.
Prof. Warner (after talking about Kelvin's theory on how the Sun produces energy): Kelvin thought he solved it. He was DELIGHTED! He was WRONG...but he was DELIGHTED!
Alex didn't get how that was funny via text message, so it's safe to assume that it really doesn't translate without the inflection, but oh well.
I went to the AP Tour w/ Sydney tonight. She got really lost on the drive down from Ventura and we ended up missing The Matches performance. I've seen them before, though, so that's all right. I liked The Rocket Summer; fun and dancey. The guy kind of reminds me of Andrew McMahon....Speaking of which, I spotted William Tell (ex-Something Corporate) in the audience while standing at the bar. A clear example of why I can't even pretend to be cool: I started screaming like a giddy little kid and bouncing around as soon as I saw him. He was really nice and talked to me for a little bit and took a picture with Sydney and me. He said he was performing at USC for Springfest and that I should come talk to him when I'm there too. I'm not taking it as a "let's be best friends" sort of invitation, but at least he was really nice.
Now I have been working a little on this stupid PR factsheet due Thursday. Way lame!
