Well, here we go again ...this time on the other side
Well, we heading back towards the NCR region, but this time instead of living on base in Ottawa we bought a house in Aylmer (Gatineau). It's not a bad little place, 4 bedrooms and it has a pool - not that that's the selling point for me. I just didn't want to rent and the waitlist for a Q (PMQ) is just far too long.
So after being here in Ottawa since Saturday I was able to snag it on Tuesday. Sure, that's not too long, but after looking at homes on the mls since (this) March I had developed housing fatigue and just at my breaking point. It was somewhat hard since this is the height of posting season and it feels like everyone and their dog is out looking for a house and the housing market being what it is at this time is very...well...shall we say touchy.
So now, I'm sitting back getting my things ready so I can check out tomorrow to head back home for now, until early August.
All this running around and I've had one coffee this week and that was when a dear friend of mine who came to visit me in the hotel brought me one... shocking I know. But that's how busy I've been
