A couple of weeks ago, I did a number on my right wrist when I hit it square on the carpal bone. Saw my GP and he made an appointment for it to be xrayed. I do have movement, but there are days since where if I move my fingers a certain way it’s very uncomfortable. So, earlier today I went in for the X-ray.
Had my x-ray, twice actually since the student radiologist messed up the first one - no harm, she's still learning and I’m not any great rush to get home since my eldest daughter is home to watch the younger ones school bus. So I had to go to the waiting area for a senior technician to arrive. The chairs for this particular X-ray room is directly in front of the door.
So while waiting, I'm playing a card on my iPod when I hear (NB: I'm wearing my Loki helm/rune mask a friend made me - I can't wear the blue masks provided in hospital due to allergic reactions)
Sr Tech: "Loki, we're ready for you."
*silence everyone in the waiting room*
Stn Tech: "Loki! We're ready"
*I'm sitting quietly giggling*
*Sr Tech walks past*
Stn tech looking at the Sr technician* : "where'd she go?"
Me *sitting directly across from the x-ray room I was in* "Are you looking for me?"
Both techs simultaneously facepalmed groan when the elderly gentleman sitting next to me started laughing remarked, "Now, that's talent. To be invisible in plan sight. If only I could be that invisible when it comes to tax time that would be great."
Well, had the second round of x-rays and now have to wait until next week for the results to reach the doctor.
Everyone is the waiting room got the biggest kick out of it.
I mean, I even waved them down when they walked past me the first time, but hey…..if they don’t wanna notice I figured I’d have some fun.
