Feeling really old now

Yeah, yeah.. I know 46 isn't that old, but with recent events I do. Aside from my birthday the end of August, about two weeks ago, my eldest (now) 24 y/o son got married (right now no plans on grandminions, yet) - like Dude... when and where did that happen? It just seems like they were just a small yardape and now married.. can I get a recount on this? Then getting myselfback into the Guiding game again after a 7 year break (planned on going back to GIrl Guides while in Ottawa, but the nearest Until at the time was at the extreme other end of the city, which was a logistical nightmare), that when my youngest daughter overheard (my conversation with DH) that I was thinking of Guiding, she asked if she could join, since she's definitely old enough and that this would help build her friends base, since the kids in our subdivision don't or more like aren't allowed to go and play like normal kids - the only way the other parents will allow their kids to play are "play dates" and unfortunately, play dates scheduling don't always work out for one reason or another. She tried like hell to make new friends and definitely feeling lonely because of it. But to give her credit, this summer she went out on her own to make friends (her own age) but seemed to make more friends with the neighbours who (though some didn't have kids accepted her) had dogs (on their walks), so at least if the worst thing were to happen at least the neighbour's dogs know her scent and could track her down. So now I have a small human giggling along with me to Brownies - tbh, I was planning on putting her into Guiding anyway to expand her curiosity and broaden her horizons.

Another reason I'm feeling really old is while the youngest boy child (who woke up at 03:30 hrs) is still asleep in a little cocoon on the couch. I'm not sitting here, just studying his face and thinking it just seemed like yesterday he was this cherub-cheeked mischievous munchkin and now he just a slimmed down version.

Sorry, I'm rambling and also multitasking (and very patiently waiting for the coffeemaker to stop) and also hoping the smallest human stays asleep for a few minutes more before he starts his day.
