I am really getting sick and tired of
winteryrose's Junior High admin, guidance councillor and her homeroom teacher. When I call to inquire on her progress they say, "Oh, she's doing fine. No complaints. It was nice talking with you." yet, a day or two later, they call up to inform me that she's not paying attention in class, she's disruptive or she has a problem.
Okay, the child's not perfect. She's a 15 year old girl, who has been bullied throughout her entire educational career. And when there is a bullying episode and she reports it, they blame her. What are these people educators or ring masters? Because it seems that when anything has to be done it's a 3 ringed circus. And yet for a Grade 9 student, her marks in in the 90's making her an "A - B" student.
Now the most recent drama that being thrown my way is the principal wants
winteryrose to be followed for 4 days by the school's psychologist to "try to figure her out" (as he explained it). I'm far then thrilled that this is being requested, and will definitely bring up my concerns with each and every little thing that they have been claiming - there's more going on, but we don't have enough time in the day to go point-to-point on each of their complaints. Another thing that's making me uneasy about them suggesting a psychologist (I don't have anything to hide or worry about) it's just the last time "this school" suggested a meeting with "just the admin and her teacher" there wasn't a teacher in sight. There was the former principal, the guidance councillor, 2 social workers and someone from the school board and I do not want to go through that again.
So tomorrow morning, I'm going to be calling the school and requesting a meeting at my convenience. They want her followed by the psychologist the admin and the psychologist will be answering a whole lot of questions.

EDIT:
Don't get me wrong, not all her teachers and staff think that
winteryrose is a "problem student". Some of the other teachers she has have said (to me during parent/teacher interviews) they wish they could have more students like her. She listens and completes her work in a timely fashion to the best of her ability, unlike the handful of students that all they ever do is cause trouble. It's just a few and the principal's office that seem to have the problem with her.
