i'm surprised they are STILL talking about caning that american jackass. they were talking that shit up like TEN years ago when I was last there! and isn't it it a bit interesting that in a country where they have a drug death penalty that you still find lots of potheads?

i KNEW i was smelling pot on the street! Chris said, no way but i had a sneaking suspicion. i also noticed our cab driver from the airport had unusually long pinky finger nails and was highly energetic... he was definitely going over the speed limit on the way to our hotel. yea you would gather from the American media that Singapore is a place run with the cane but i didn't see one police officer while i was there. it's really laid back there. according to the other cabbie, the government is most strict on tax and accounting expenses for individuals.
