guess what all you runners out there..well most of u who read this are runners so i'll share with you some info that i got from mustard. that you may know or you may not know...eat peanutbutter before long runs! here's why:
The Benefit: Peanut butter is super-high in vitamin E, the most potent antioxidant vitamin in foods. For prerace energy, spread 2 tablespoons of peanut butter on half a bagel, and eat it 2 hours before race time. The good fats (monounsaturated) in peanut butter will "stick to your ribs" and help you feel full. Plus, you'll be energized with slow-release carbohydrates. Bonus: Recent data from the Nurse's Health Study indicates that peanut butter and nuts can help reduce the risk of Type-2 diabetes in women.
and when u have a joint injury hit up the jello
The Benefit: According to several studies, supplemental glucosamine--about 1,500 milligrams daily--helps soothe joint pain, possibly by stimulating cartilage growth. Most recently, a study from Harvard has shown osteoarthritis improvements with gelatin-based products. Yes, there's always room for Jell-O.
haha i'm so smart..no not really just go over to www.runnersworld.com haha i haven't looked at that sight for very long but it looks totally awesome..and helpful! haha i wonder if hamilon memorized this yet?! it could be very possible
yesterday was a good run on march 10th my daddy's birtday...a strength run through the most hilly place walden woods...if u ever get bored..just start counting down the hills. or count the number of mail boxes..i definately think it works cause i believe i dropped my time to a 27:32! and then today we did a recovery run on the trail..which was like running on a beach in some parts..started to rain in others..and rusty sand/water at other points..but i have to say it was deffinately flater..and less bumpier..i also liked it because is uphill on the way out and down hill on the way back! woohoo thats alway a gift! i'm begining to think i'm getting better..the miles are catching up with me..but i like a challenge and i feel i'm getting things accomplished at practice! lets just hope this continues through out the season..and many seasons to come..because i'm liking it!
