“That, or a torrid affair with the admiral in Uruguay.”

My favorite line for this installment... probably because I've read too many torrid spy novels in my life.

There were so many moments I liked in this chapter I can't pick one. I'm looking forward to more.

“She tried to assign me an essay once.”

“She did not!” Ellie exclaimed.

“She did!” he replied. “It was totally surreal, and she was really embarrassed.”

HHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

i like the line marcus says about liz not being a politcian, and then the bartlett reactions.
r we going to get a wedding scene of john/liz? is ellie and marcus gonna marry?
cadman's funny.
and i really liked he bit about john being on top of the list that needs help getting out of trouble. and cool way to bring in john's math background.
and in the universe, does liz know john passed the mensa?

You might want to consider stopping the exaggerated happy/fluffy/squealing, it doesn't come off well, and if you are looking for fluff and lots of romance this is definitely the wrong fic author for you.

Great update...I really like seeing things from Lorne's POV. Poor Lorne, it's got to be hard to think of Elizabeth as a politician when she's been his "commander" for so many years.

I have to ask though, is this a slight jab at those on the Weir threads that claimed she wasn't a politician? ;-)

“So what do you think, she had a stint with the CIA at the end of the Cold War?”

“That, or a torrid affair with the admiral in Uruguay.”

*giggles*
