Le feu d'artifices a eu lieu anyway! [avec genre 15 minutes de retard] C'est super cool, on les voit vraiment bien de chez nous. Et ils étaient beaux.
Happy Canada Day everyone! In Québec July 1st is also known as "National Moving Day". We're so crazy here we all moved the same day. And in this heat? [and later-storm?] I'm darn glad I'm not moving. Been there done that way too many times! I'm staying put. Après 4 moves cross-country Québec-Vancouver and back, je suis déterminée à ne plus jamais déménager de ma sainte vie.
Donc sans plus attendre, les images! Do I have to re-state that taking pictures of fireworks as they happen [cause er, would be hard to take pictures of them when they aren't...] is a an ART. An art of TIMING and sometimes and art of PURE LUCK. The camera sort of "focusses" and doesnt take the picture immediately when you press the button [not mine anyway] and sometimes it's a little longer before it snaps the shot. So you take a guess. You watch the little spark go out and try to guess the moment when it's going to pop. Etc. It's kind of distracting to be taking pictures while watching too. I wanna stop doing this. I need a videocamera. NOW.
Look closely at the next one, the one on the right is a smiley face! Yellow outline of face, red smile & blue eyes! They also had heart-shaped ones but I could get a good pic.
