Go Mom!
So today was my Mom's last of work FOREVER! Her office (and sometimes my office since we work for the same company) threw a party for her that was very nice. Everyone in the office had great things to say about her and she got a lot of gifts. Even one of her douchebag bosses Rob had some "nice" things to say. Yeah, they were slightly backhanded, but I think he was trying to be sincere. Plus, he sucks and my Mom rules, so in the long run, she wins. It was surreal to see my Mom in this sort of environment and it made me proud to see that she got so much respect. She worked her ass off for years and got very little appreciation along the way. Yeah, I got a little teary-eyed....
I'm very happy to see that she can finally stop working and do whatever she wants for the rest of her life. She was like a rock-star/stand-up comedian at the party. It's a roll that I don't get to see that often out of her because of the environment that I'm used to seeing her. She was really funny...I mean REALLY FUNNY (and I know funny!)! So here's a big CHEERS to my mom whom I love and am very proud of!!
