Hmm. Love at first sight . . . as I've never experienced it, I'm not really at liberty to say whether it exists or not. However, I am guilty of harboring a thought or two about destiny and soul mates, so I figure love at first sight very well may be a possibility.
I've been in love . . . twice, I believe, and neither were love at first sight. As a matter of fact, they're such the opposite that it's actually a bit humorous to even think about. Nothing good came of either of the relationships, to say the least, but that seems to be starting to change with one of them.
As for the other? Well, it ended with being beheaded by an ax on one of our parts, and as I've still got my head . . .
I'd rather not think about it.
And as for Fred . . . the woman I think I may stand a chance with, well, the first time I saw her, I recall I referred to her as "that strange wild girl." And hardly in any kind of party animal sense - it involves an alternate dimension called Pylea, and somehow I doubt anyone would care to hear the entire story.
The point I'm trying to make is that I fell in love with her over time, as I learned more about her. The way she babbles rather senselessly when she's excited, and how her glasses slide down her nose, and the fact that she can recite pi to the thirty-sixth digit . . .
God, I hope she doesn't read this.
Er. Anyway. I've got to go meet with a new client.
Right now.
