Haven't even heard of them, and I compulsively read book reviews online and in print. Of course, and this is the snerking voice of my id, if you have to tell people you're the country's foremost relationship expert...

I've heard of Gottman. He seems to be well-regarded professionally.

OK, he's from Seattle, which might be why he's so frequently quoted in local media. But still--he sounds like a sensible guy from all I've read.
