Who needs a day without worries when you've got friends to worry with?

When you start an errand-filled day by walking around the woodsy roads of UP while listening to The Shins, you can be sure that even if something does go wrong along the way, you’ll have that moment to hold on to.

Right now my legs hurt. A lot. I think stretching before leisurely strolls deadly marching is definitely a must when one travels from the CFA to the OUR, and back again. The distance was fairly short (and a lot more pleasant than the Mordor-like evils of the trip from the SDA to the main campus), but to this lowly couch potato, I might as well have travelled from Luzon to Visayas by foot. Without shoes.

I survived mainly on oxygen and tapa (I used spoons, against the advice of my mother, who has a weak stomach for a UP alumni - shame!). Every now and then I whipped out my DS, which was fine by me. The waiting wasn’t so bad either. The physical examination involved no nudity, nor boob-prodding. It did involve bending over, peeing into a cup, but it involved an adventure involving scanners and consent forms. Oh, and one of the doctors was really into my sneakers.

Later that day I hung out with some of the wonderful AC peeps in Greenbelt 3, high school style. Sitting around sipping overpriced coffee, eating delicious rice bowls, bugging vendors for food samples, barging into stores without no real interest in their merchandise. However, having forgotten my girl scout training, I did not take into account the whole Oh Yeah It’s Your Birthday Pay For Everyone rule, and this greatly frustrated me. I wish I could have bought everyone enough food to make them barf, but in the end I think we were full with love. <3

up, buddies
