Up on the twenty-ninth floor, it's a bit of an industrial wasteland - it's like the contractor decided that floor only needed the support beams and a bit of electrics and piping to connect the twenty-eight floor to the thirtieth, and left it at that.

That suits her just fineFor the record, she hasn't killed all of the zombies on this floor. They ( Read more... )

Arithon has been doggedly moving upwards himself, and it's kind of nice to find a floor where someone else has it under control. He leans against the door frame for a moment and just watches before sheathing the smaller of the two swords he's carrying (he found it on 14th. Unlike the one on his back, he is physically capable of using this one.) and flexes his hands a little bit before taking care of the zombie bits.

After all, the purple-haired woman seems to have the whole zombies under control. Fire isn't part of his Elemental Mastery, no, but he was raised by sorcerers. In a drafty, drafty old tower. Fire was important to learn.

There is a crash, somewhere, and a mob suddenly appears, pouring through a newly-made gap in a poorly-made wall. They are quite hideous, and quite pissed.

And then they are hidden from view, a thick white band of cloth woven (overunderaroundandthrough) to form a makeshift wall between two closer supports.

And in front of the new wall, in a half crouch, is the purple-haired woman.

With the free end of the cloth still in her hands.

"Would you like me to ignite them?" Arithon asks quietly from behind(ish) her.

Kittenish without being young, she smiles over her shoulder at him.

"If you would like. There are more where they came from."

He's young but...not in the slightest kitten-like. "Very well. Is there a reason you have yet to flip the switch?"

"It has been a good workout." She replies, and if she's being honest that's anyone's guess. "I've reached an age where I have to think of such things."

"Very well." far be it from him to intrude on a lady's work-out.

There's a laugh, deep and musical and decidedly care-free despite the hoards of undead wishing to gnaw upon her brains, and she's gone. Simply gone.

Somewhere off to the right comes a rather heavy sound, like meat being dropped at a slaughterhouse.

Arithon rests against the doorframe and watches. It's...strange, but interesting.

There isn't a lot to watch, if one hopes for anythign understandable. One moment there are three zombies backing her into a corner, in the next, there are two zombies flat on the ground with rather permanent dents in important places, and the third is strung up from the ceiling and raging futilely. As for the purple-haired whirlwind, she's half-way across the tangle of a giant room, half-way through sweeping the legs out from underneath a bruiser of a zombie, with no sign of how she got from one place to the other.

And then she's standing behind him, her breath warm on his ear.

"So, what will it take for you to buy me a drink downstairs?"

Oooooh, that zombie over by the switch never saw her coming. He'd probably miss his head, if he had enough intelligence to do such things.
