Jim, with his baseball bat still clutched firmly in hand (and covered in gore by this point -- he's trying not to think of that part), bursts onto the upper level floors sometime around what would be dawn at home. This floor shows no indication of time passing; it's a dark night scene with fog drifting over the ground, which feels like dirt and is ( Read more... )

This seemed to Jim's lucky day because there was Hinata. The room had decided she needed to be in red heels and she was having trouble dealing with them. They wouldn't come off! Her hair had been teased too, and that was almost as distracting because she kept catching glimpses of hair where it shouldn't be.

"Jim?" she turned a little too quickly for the strange (and painful) center of balance, so there was a lot of wobbling and a finally a few mincing hops before she crashed to her knees. This was not how the other floors had gone!

Jim was too distracted and relieved to see her to notice the change in his own clothing (his jacket was shiney, and his short hair sported a perm that all came to one big curl on the front of his head); in fact, he nearly let down his guard completely until she fell over.

He rushed foward to help her up. "--What happened to you?"

"Ummm...I fell?" she offered, accepting a hand up. "T-these shoes won't come off!" and that was a very bad thing in this kind of situation!

"I've been c-clearing floors, but t-this one is very strange." she was just now noticing her nails were done, painted a bright pink that contrasted badly with Jim's jacket. "Are you alright?"

"The shoes won't come off." Keep repeating things, Jim, maybe that will cause them to make sense.

Or not.

"I'm fine. You're not safe when you can't walk."
