So today I worked on my resume for a while, tweaking things here and there upon suggestion from Placement and generally making it look better. Then, I contemplated sending my resumé out to jobs after a job search, but figured it all points to my professional website, so maybe I should work on that first.
So I worked on that a good long while, and it's coming along nicely. I made myself not play FFXI until night time again but, as it usually happens, by the time I get full swing into my creative design process, I don't really wanna do anything else. For example, I wanted to watch Hide & Seek but kept working instead. And when I decided I needed a break at 8PM, and watched it until about 10pm, after which I figured I'd go play some FFXI, I kind of found myself wanting to get back to the design work instead. But, I did FFXI instead, because I felt I deserved it.
Oh yeah, and I've spawned a new LiveJournal to track my progress in FFXI. It's written from the point of view of my character. Check it out if you want here:
http://www.livejournal.com/users/ffjuggalo Hide & Seek was... "blah," as my friend Amy put it. It was quite exciting and what not while waiting for The Big Reveal but, afterwards, the rest of the movie was very predictable and I found myself wanting to get back to work rather than sit through what I knew would happen. They even threw in the cliffhanger ending that leaves the door open for a sequel that never comes (remember the Mario Brothers movie, anyone?)
I listened to two new albums today. The first was Bizzy Bone - The Beginning and the End, an online-only release. Nothing really stood out, unforunately.
Then I listened to Geto Boys - The Foundation. I gotta tell you. Yesterday I listened to The Game's new album, who is being billed as the savior of west coast rap. Well, as his first song says, west coast rap never went anywhere, other than off mainstream airwaves. WC, Ice Cube, Westside Connection, they been doing it for a long time and consistently putting out hits. Even Warren G and Coolio, two of the most underrated rappers ever (since people generally only know them by one song apiece) still make music today. And Geto Boys (Scarface, Willie D, & Bushwick Bill) were pioneers in west coast rap. They had songs with violence in it that appealed and influenced ICP, but they also were not afraid to make music with serious shit in it. "Fuck A War" actually had real content to it, and no other group I've ever heard has come out and spoken against abortion like they did with "The Unseen," a song so underground I can't even find it to download. So it was with great anticipation that I popped in their new CD. Wow. Fucking masterpiece. Their beats are what west coast rap should be about, and definitely put The Game's album to shame (as for The Game being the savior, as my homie Drew said, "How can you be the savior of west coast rap when your album has nothing but east coast rappers on it?" which is true, other than WC & Snoop Dogg on a track). But anyways, getting back to Geto Boys, right off the bat, just cuz I want people to hear it, they have a song called Dirty Bitch on there. Yeah, it's the typical "I got my heart broken by a girl and now I wanna kill her" song but if you listen to the lyrics, there's actual emotion in them, and you can tell Bushwick Bill really went through what he spoke about and wrote the song to express his feelings, as opposed to just writing a song for an album. In fact, except for the violent reaction, I can dientify with just about every word of the song (those that read about Blair should understand) So that's tonight's song and you should download it. Also, My good friend Kelly hooked up the Green Day song from a few nights ago, so that's available to download as well.

Green Day - Time of Your Life (Good Riddance)Orgazmo - Now You're A Man Also, when I stayed with my parents a weekend or two ago, I watched SNL late at night on E! which was a repeat of when Lindsay Lohan hosted it. Now, I don't even like Lindsay Lohan really. I mean I don't like that she is billed as being so hot when
this is the true her, and she does have some "big ass titties" (if you haven't seen the video, you owe it to yourself to do so
by clicking here - no nudity involved), but I can tolerate her to a certain degree.
So anyways, I was watching SNL as hosted by her and saw two VERY funny skits. The first was her playing the part of Hermoine Granger in a Harry Potter skit. I love the Harry Potter series (sorry, Sunny) and so that alone was funny, but the skit included a lot of different characters and focused around Lindsay's titties that had apparently grown quite large over the summer. The second focused around a character named Debbie Downer (played by Rachel Dratch, the ugliest funny woman in the biz) whose random outbursts bring everyone down. it was such a funny skit that everyone involved broke character and Horatio Sans even had to wipe tears out of his eyes on his shirt. I guarantee that this skit will one day become a classic, much in the vein of Christopher Walken's "More Cowbell!" so check it out.
