RP Example - To the Zoo!
Game: Sunnydale OSI
Who: Wesley and Laili
When: Tuesday Afternoon/Evening
Where: Sunnydale Zoo
Wesley was happy to be seeing Laili again, but right now he was here for his job. Well, mostly here for his job anyway. He just wanted to iron out a few details about the field trip tomorrow. He wanted to make sure that she knew exactly how was coming, and he wanted to know what route they would take through the zoo. He had figured that the hyena exhibit would be one of the last stops, since it was the newest thing to come in.
When he reached Laili's office, he knocked on the door instead of just walking in. For all that he knew, she could have a tiger in there. It was obviously not likely, but he wanted to be cautious, just in case.
"Come in!" Laili called.
She was sitting at her desk doing some paperwork, and had no tigers in sight.
Wesley was happy to see that there were no tigers. He walked into the office and up to Laili. "Hello, Laili. How has work been going today?" He looked very happy to see her.
"Work has been busy- and it's going a lot better nwo that you're here."
Laili smiled warmly and got up from behind her desk to embrace him.
"I'm so glad you're here."
He smiled back and her and hugged her back. "I'm glad to see you, too. Why has work been so busy today? Working on the hyena exhibit?"
"Yes- it's generating a lot of interest. I made sure to reserve some time for you and your school group, though."
Laili smiled and kissed him tenderly. "I can stop with the working now though."
Wesley was much better than work.
Wesley kissed her back and smiled as well. "If you can be spared, then maybe we can leave and grab some coffee or whatever you would like."
"That sounds wonderful. I can wrap up for the day, let me just take care of this paperwork."
Taking care of it meant that she piled it up, and placed a paperweight on top of it.
"There! I don't want to see any of that until tomorrow. Take me away!"
Laili giggled and took Wesley's arm. "Let's go."
Wesley couldn't help but laugh at Laili's way of wrapping up work. "I wish that I could wrap up my work so easily," he said, leading her out of her office. "Now I shall whisk you away into another land where coffee is plentiful and work is just a far away memory."
"I like that plan," Laili said.
She smiled at her boyfriend, and let him lead the way.
Wesley led her out to his car so that he could drive them to the coffee shop. He opened the door for her before getting into the driver's side himself. "So," he said when he started the car and pulled out of the parking lot, "how is the exhibit looking for the opening? Are the hyenas doing well?"
"They seem a bit skittish, but I'm sure they'll adjust to their new environment soon," Laili said.
"They have a special zookeeper coming in with them to help them adjust, even."
"They have a special zookeeper coming in? They must be very important to have such special treatment," Wesley said with a smile.
"I think so," Laili said. "They're the first new animals we've gotten in for a while, so I think they want to try and take care of them properly."
"I'm sure that's what it is," Wesley said. "They probably just want to make sure that the animals adjust properly to the new enviorment."
