almost home
4 more days left in "the desert" . (i'm told i'm supposed to be using "the desert", "the middle east", or "southwest asia" until i'm home...). i come home to two familar faces and a 3 month old baby who looks a bit like my ashley. *laugh* i'm very happy about all that. when it's all said and done i'll have 28 hours in the air to get to baltimore... yuck. i'll be taking a couple of short hops from there to get to little rock after so that's not too bad. but really... i don't really care. i'll just be happy to be home.
talk to ash today... emma rolled over for the first time! she's a little more than three months old now. :) and incredibly cute.
i've got most of my stuff packed. i mailed out a foot locker the other day with a majority of my gear and random things i didn't want to carry that i was allowed to mail back. i'm pretty much living out of my bags for the next couple of days. :P
i've been trying to download the english phantasy star portable demo using sony media manager on my computer but the connection here is so slow that it keeps timing out. i finally just decided to do it with my psp and sat it off to the side. cut out the middle man and all that. the actual PSP game comes out in march (i think) but the character you level in the demo can be transferred over to the full version of the game. so i figured it would give me something to do on the ride home. or at least a new game to play. having a hacked psp i have about a dozen or so games already on the memory card i have in right now. i've got another couple of cards for movies too plus a 13 hour battery life so i'm pretty set for keeping myself occupied. XD
haven't really drawn anything in awhile. i've got a couple of commissionie sorta things to work on when i get back though (after getting settled in after a couple of weeks). pete wants 4 possible lithos for tfcc and i'm doing this rustedcarcass portfolio thing for A.C. Covolsky (i think that's his name...carcass or whatever). hopefully i'll find time to work on all that. i know A.C.'s stuff doesn't really have a deadline so that'll help.
this is getting lengthy... not much else going on for now. i should probably head back to my room and get some sleep. i'll update at various airports on the ride home. heh.
