STUPID HEART THING, PART ONE
So it's almost exactly one week since I had my first full-blown heart attack - one of an ongoing and seemingly endless series of events that has kept me from updating this journal much beyond terse private entries like "The fucking air conditioning has gone out again! I HATE LIFE!"
Anyway, the heart episode (as it's come to be known around these parts) and, especially, its aftermath, resulted in one of my first sustained instances of damn-I-really-have-to-blog-this. And, damn, I really do have to blog this - but not yet tonight. Suffice it to say I'm relatively okay, apart from being unwillingly subjected to the perils of an American hospital for a few more days than was necessary - or even possibly therapeutic. Well, apart from that and from having to make hefty contributions to both the pharmaceutical and insurance lobbies for perhaps the rest of my life.
