Okay, how cute was Dean's story? "...Then I drove you to the ER on my handle bars." Well, come to think of it, a five year old breaking his arm is not cute. But they were playing Batman and Superman! I am torn on this issue.
For some reason, I thought this would be a scary episode. I waited until the night to watch it. Instead of scares, I got some parallel storytelling. I'm sure Dean got some insight from the Ghostfacers' tragically ended bromance and it will help him to learn to love Sam in a less Norman Bates-ian way. And I realized yet again that if Sam and Dean's season 9 story was acted out by average-looking dudes, it wouldn't be so compelling for me.
I found the previous non-con envesseling stuff creepily fascinating. How far would Dean go to keep Sam with him? How much of Sam would he erase in the process? But now, watching Dean slowly starting to get a clue with the help of other characters who just happen to go through similar stuff for his convenience, this feels a little drawn out. But probably necessary.
Anyway, it was great to see the Ghostfacers. They first appeared in Season One!!! Who else has been around since Season One? No one, I think. Bobby's dead. I would've preferred them with more humor and less mangst, though.
