Computer issues
I hate computers sometimes. I really do.
I bought a new graphics card so that I could play games (current obsession: City of Heroes) with a nicer resolution. And hopefully to stop getting those weird graphics errors where it turns into a handful of huge-ass triangles. I also bought a new wireless card, since the one I'd bought before doesn't work under Linux.
Yesterday, I was trying to update my Gentoo install and who knows what I did, but somehow I managed to rather nicely render it totally unusable.
So today I put my hardware in my Dell and went to install the software. I figured I'd get Windows happy and then just re-install the Linux OS. Unfortunately, Windows gave me all sorts of issues, which I suspect are unrelated to the new hardware, but I'm not sure.
So I decided to reinstall Windows. Wouldn't work. After hours of fighting, discovered it's cuz the setup CD doesn't like my mouse. Temporarily disconnected it... it worked. I now have Windows somewhat working again (still getting it up to date), but Linux is even more kaput than before.
