I just signed up for
NaNoWriMo. Basically, November is National Novel Writing Month. NaNoWriMo is a project geared towards facilitating this event. The goal for those who participate is to write a 50,000+ word novel from start to finish between November 1 and November 30. Think it's insane? Visit the site and read about the project and maybe it'll make more sense.
I have no idea how successful I'll be at it. I really do not have time for it. Yet, I've wanted to try it every year for the past several years and haven't yet had time for it, nor do I expect to have time for it any time soon. So I decided to ignore the lack of time and write anyway. We'll see what happens. If anything. Who knows, signing up doesn't mean I'll actually do it (though I certainly intend to).
I encourage my readers (do I have readers?) to sign up for NaNoWriMo, too. So many people say they should write a novel, or that they will write a novel one day, yet never do. Here's your chance, join the insanity!
