Poem.

Hey guys. I have a poem I wrote. I must warn you it is kind of messed up and reads very much like a Klingon story so you have been warned. Read and enjoy.
There were two men who were the strongest in their land.
Their names were Ivan and Bellar.
Both were knights of the kingdom of Nothellon.

When the king of Nothellon had died he had left instruction
That whichever knight; Ivan or Bellar, could beat the other at a tournament of strength
Would rule his kingdom.

And so when the tournament came
Both Bellar and Ivan met their strength and they battled for the whole day
With no one claiming victory. Until all the crowds had left.

And still the battle continued.
Through all of the kingdom of Nothellon.
For ten years.

One day the two men came before a farm house.
Both equally wearied they entered and asked the family who lived there for water.
Both eager to restart the battle.

There they saw the poor condition of the farm and of the farmers.
The family explained that in both the men’s absence.
The wise man Sphelar had taken control of the throne.

Ivan and Bellar were appalled with what they saw.
The two went to the kingdom of Nothellon
And they talked with Sphelar.

Sphelar would not listen to them.
He had his guards remove them from the kingdom.
Ivan and Bellar were enraged.

They saw that if the peasants revolted
They could take back the kingdom
And so they called a meeting of the town.

They told the peasants everything.
That the need was great
And that they would lead them to victory.

The people said, “We will follow only the king.
Until one is chosen you have no more respect than Sphelar.”
And despair fell upon Ivan and Bellar.

As the crowd turned away Bellar saw only one scrap of hope.
He took Ivan’s hand made it clasp his sword
And skewered it through his own stomach.

Ivan was shocked.
Bellar had killed himself so Ivan could become king.
And the people recognized this.

Together Ivan led the people to victory over Sphelar.
And Ivan was made king.
And Ivan buried his friend with the best wishes in mind.
