It was about that time of the month again. Well… not that one, the other one, the one that happened once every full moon. Complete with a full makeover: the fur, the teeth, and oh yeah, an untamable hunger. I really was not gonna complain. At least I got to see Angel while I was there. Not that I needed an excuse to see him. I could come see him whenever I wanted, he’d said so himself. But he was always busy saving the world and being Mr. CEO, and I was always busy too, and it's not like we were exclusive or anything.
But it was nice sometimes, being with someone who understood what it was like to have something so strong inside of you, raging, tearing, begging to get out and roam free. Not that I had ever met Angelus or my inner demon face to face. Well, maybe I have met my inner demon, not face to face though, more like video tape to face.
I thought about that for a moment, seeing myself on tape, and I realized something. Something I hadn’t thought of before. I realized that with every transformation something within me changed and not just before a full moon. My senses were more in tuned… all the time now. I didn’t notice it too much at first, but more and more I kept hearing things no human person could hear, unless, you were a vampire or a super hearing demon of some sort.
But the biggest thing that had changed was the smelling things… thing. Kinda like a vampire only different or maybe it was like a vampire, I’d have to ask Angel that one once I see him. I did missed him though. And the last time we saw each other was… dinner, his place, well let’s just say I kept a stake near by my nightstand, just in case.
Time to go back to Wolfram and Hart and get inside my cage. I wondered if Angel was in. Then the whole smelling smells kicked in. Of course he was in. I should have come seen him sooner, that’s what I should have done. Well, I was here now. Maybe after the full moon and all, we could go out again.
I walked into the building and made my way towards his office. As I turned the corner I could hear footsteps coming from the other direction. I stopped; the smell was indescribable, but unmistakable. It was Angel alright. I smiled and turned around. And sure enough, there he was, standing but a few feet away from me.
“Out saving the world again, Angel?” I said with a smile. “You don’t call, you don’t write… and… you from the looks of it, you defiantly need a bath.”
