Work N' Stuff

Jan 19, 2009 22:35

Stuff first actually. I finally finished Crisis Core. Can anyone believe it? Almost a year later and I finally finsihed. I had stopped three bosses from the end no less, thaqt's the disadvantage of loving the character and still knowing what going to happen to them . . .  Yes, I cried, and whined, and howled, and generally made the dogs think I was bonkers. I haven't felt this sad in a long time. *cries again* And nobodies allowed telling me I get too attached to finsictional characters, 'cause seriously, you really think I don't know that6 already? GEEZ! Random thought, if Zack were a dog, what breed do ya think he'd be? I think a mix of border collie and german shepard,. which means I'd have a horrible time training him. All brains and hyperness.

On to work . . .  honestly, to all my friends who read my blogs, I truly meant to start posting once a week, the reason I haven't, simple, I and freakin' exhausted from store set up. My hand is going to be royally sore by the end of this, along with bthe rest of me. But I've been getting to play in fabric, and drool too. Such fun things. The Softlines Supervisor needs to go hang with Tiffany a bit I think. She's smart and seems like she'll be good at her job but as far as I know, she didn't come from a Joann's and doesn't quite get our fabric set up yet, she's learning, but needs to learn one thing, don't try to explain things to the wolf-puppy when she understands it better than you. That sounds mean, I don't mean it that way, I like her lots, thought sometimes she gets a frustrated/mad feel about her that makes me want to go away. Trying to teach my new coworkers sorting skills is a chore in itself, how hard is it to match things? Casa with casa, baroque with baroque? They're already doing the "I've seen this before, I put it here without checking the label" thing . . . aye aye aye, please check the labels! I spent half my time resorting from those blunders!

I learned framing! Like, putting together frames, which was FUN! I thought it was enjoyable, and Bev, the framing specialist is AWESOME! I *luvs* her, I hope she stays a long time because she tells interesting stories.

We have a fine arts sections, which makes me downright giddy! Paper and canvases and paints (oils, good watercolors, etc) drawing tools, pastels and chalks . . . *drools* Mom's less than thrilled that I have yet another temptation to have to deal with, oh well.

I'm also glad to say there's a couple anime people, sorta . . .  One's a gamer, but not quite anime, as far as I can tell, and the other knows anime enough to be wanting to go to Ohayocon, but I really don't know how deep she is. But there's lots of neat people that listen to me, no matter what I'm talking about. The advantage of learning many things, you almost always have something to add to a conversation. All the supervisors are trying to give me a big ego though. The framing trainer told every manager at least once how great I was and that he wanted me in framing, Bev also complimented me. Softlines told Andrea more than once that my knowledge was a great/big help to her. The Home Dec Specialists said the same, only to me, not a manager, but that's okay. My ego doesn't need to be any bigger. ^_^ Hopefully I'll learn names soon, I know a few, but we haven't been doing the round robin of intros at the daily huddle like we did at the dayton setup so I'm having a hard time learning them.

I'm very happy thast I'm getting to go to Ohayocon. ^_^ It's be fun. I miss Cons thoroughly. ^_^ I hope many of my friends and I can meet up, yes? ^_^ YAY! Now then, time for bed!
