Alright, so George may or may not know your canon. Chances are if you're from a well known movie (Star Wars, Star Trek, nerdy things like that), comic book (for example token characters like Superman, Batman, Captain America, etc.), or a British show, he might very well recognize the name.  Probably not so much anime characters?
