New Phrexia, Free Comic Books, and Mother’s Day
This weekend was kind of busy.
Saturday, I went to the New Phyrexia pre-release tournament. I played alright (won two out of four), but I had to leave after the fourth round. There was going to be seven rounds, but it was already pretty late.
I also stopped by the comic book store to pick up free comics! Apparently, there’s a Kung Fu Panda comic. Still, it's nothing like the comic I've been "working" on for the past six years. Of course, this one is in print and based on a movie, while mine is just in a Word document.
After that, we thought about going to see Thor, but we ended up not going.
Sunday, Beth went to visit her mother, and I went to visit mine. We cooked out and I ended up getting stung by one of Dad's bees. He finally got some bees in the hive he has been constructing. But, now there's one less. Fortunately, I'm not allergic.
