Last night Beth and I had a little adventure. After we picked up a bookcase for her and dropped it off at her apartment, she found a puppy roaming the parking lot. The dog was definitely used to people and came running up to us. She immediately took it in and put it in her dog's cage. Her dog had no idea what to think of it, and her two cats were not to be found. She's going to make some flyers to hang in her area. The puppy looks to be old enough to have been a Christmas (or whatever) present and got loose. Hopefully she wasn't dropped off.
After that, we went to go see Bryan Adams at the Horseshoe Casino. This was the first time I've been down there since last spring which was the last time they had given me free money. No money this time either.
I-69, the new interstate bypass that connects I-55 to Hwy 61 near the casinos, is now open. I haven't been on it before, so we decided to try it last night. I-69 connects to I-55 south of where I live and ends just north of the casinos. It was rather quick considering we were coming from the complete opposite side of Memphis.
The concert itself was good. I'm not a huge Bryan Adams fan. To me, Bryan Adams is one of those musicians which I can only name one or two songs they sing, but during the concert most of the songs were ones I knew. I was constantly thinking, "Oh yeah! I forgot he sang that!"
After the concert, we ate at the buffet at the casino. No celebrities spotted this time. Not even Bryan Adams. I bet he was going to eat at the expensive place.
