Got a Wii!

...Sort of.

While at my parents' house yesterday for Thanksgiving, my sister and I planned a way to get a Wii. She suggested Circuit City which opened at 5am. We got there around 4:15, and the line was huge! They didn't have any Wiis anyway. So, She went to EBGames, and I went to GameStop. Both said they were going to get some in and were going to open at 7am. EBGames had about 8 people or so. GameStop had one.

So, my sister came over to GameStop to wait with me. After a few other people arrived including one of the employees, the employee came out and took down people's names for the Wii. They only had six, and I had the second one! Woohoo! The line didn't build up too much since we were telling people that they only had six, and they were all claimed. A few waited around anyway probably thinking they were going to sneak in line. That didn't work out for them. :)

7 o'clock comes, and we all head inside. I didn't see any problem with people shoving and pushing. The line was huge by then, but I don't know what they were there for. There were other specials going on as well. We walked out happy with our Wii and waved goodbye to fellow new-Wii owners. Of course, my sister snatched it from me to take to Mom and Dad's house since they're going to give it to me for Christmas. So, I have a Wii, but just not yet. That Zelda game I have for it will have to sit unplayed for a few more weeks.

Now, I'm tired and hungry and bored at work. Maybe I should start working on my TSA 10th anniversary story which needs to be done soon.

christmas, stories, wii
