We woke up this morning to a roar outside. The only thing I could think of was the highway behind the house just got much busier/ they'd cut down all the trees behind us/the roof was gone. None of those theories seem to be true. Trees providing sound buffering still surround our house. There are no holes in the roof visible from the inside. Traffic outdoors looks much the same to me. But there is a constant roar of wind outside now. I don't know how long it will last. MonsterMustDie says it sounds like there is a jet engine on across the street. The sound is very slightly quieter downstairs in the lowest level of the house. The only thing I know to do is to increase the volume on the television and stereo.

Update: The roar outside died down around 9:30AM. I still have no idea what the source was.
