(no subject)
So I'm running for Ms. TSTC (the school I'm going to) right? It's a scholarship worth $1,500 for the winner $1,000 and $500 for the runner ups. There is also a Mr. TSTC for the same scholarships. There is no bathing suit competition nor a talent portion. I thought it would be fun to do especially if I managed to win something.
So I find a sponsor (Aviation Maintenance Program) and go to all the meetings. We, the contestants, have to do an opening dance, give a speech about our sponsor with corresponding costume, and then answer the final questions in formal wear during the actual pageant. Before that we have one on one interviews with the judges. So they tell us we need a suit and a gown (ladies only). Neither of which I can afford at the moment let alone any corresponding shoes. So I was going to back out. I got convinced to stay in. But I'm gonna wear what I want to wear and just have fun. Obviously I am not likely to win with such an attitude but I don't care anymore. I'm gonna do it my way and have a blast doing it!!
I was thinking about wearing my Renaissance dress for the formal wear portion. Drew didn't think that was a good idea. I still don't know if I'll go that far but I really do think it would be fun!! I don't know, I've been out shopping and am having no luck finding something that fit and looks good on me let alone something I can afford.
But anyways... School is going good otherwise. Doing well in class so far and finding patients who will let me clean their teeth. Got a free fancy powered toothbrush today. The only thing that could be better if it wasn't so damn cold!!! It's fucking February already!!! Where's the heat, man! *continues to whine about the freak cold as she bundles up*
