I know in the past, these events have lasted a week, but...

[He trails off, then clears his throat and continues.]

But has there ever been a time when they lasted longer?

second worst halloween ever, hallucinations are not cool, remus lupin, event: in the fog, it's been one week, too much death

Yes. In July an event lasted from the 13th until the 1st. It was, as far as I'm aware, the longest of any singular event.

I certainly hope this one does not go on for such a time. It's so draining for so many.

It's trying, but there have been far worse events.

[Especially since you can just avoid this one by staying inside, and he's extremely used to seeing so much death. As far as he's concerned it's not so bad.]

Have they been followed up with anything lighthearted? I would hate if it were bad event after bad event.

Not always, however there is usually a more minor event before or after a difficult one. The apple event, for example, came before this one.

That is of interest to note. Perhaps we can use that to help mentally prepare ourselves? At least to the best of our abilities; I understand we don't always keep our minds.

If the pattern holds, which is doesn't always, the next event will be less serious than the one we just endured. However that the apple event was so simple, the next may be more difficult than expected.

[In other words it's really hard to guess.]
