So my daughter came home on the fifth from spending the holidays with her dad. She came home with a raging case of the stomach flu. She vomited overnight before getting to the airport, vomited on the way to the airport, going down the tunnel to the plane, on the plane on the tarmac, on the plane in the air, on the way up the ramp coming off the plane and at home. Today, she had the runs and a wicked case of gas.
So after taking care of her for the last couple of days, I am up in the middle of the night feeling ridiculously bloated, sweaty, shaky, cold, and gassy. Not to mention the diarrhea that just started. I’ve already missed a day and a half of work over this. I managed to make it in today for a little while and finish up some quick jobs and bring some stuff home. But cripes! If I am sick, It means at least another day while I get over this.
My real question is this: why does the stomach flu inevitably start in the middle of the night?
