dammit!
my lower surgical incision is infected. AGAIN. dammit dammit dammit. the fucking thing wont heal. ive been to the doctor once about this. it seems to be worse after getting better for a while. i dont think im running a fever (i feel warm, but it could be where im sitting, the warm laptop and/or all in my own paranoid head). i dont feel sick to my stomach or anything. the incision is still red, but no more so than it has ever been; no streaking or anything; just pus. not gallons, but enough that its gross. and now its bleeding a little bit again. i just want this thing to heal already. i had my surgery on the 12th; the top incision has been healed over since the first week. the bottom incision i was told had to be widened during the surgery but this is starting to worry me. i have another follow up in a couple of weeks, but i dunno if i need to call the damned doctors back and have them look at it (again) sooner or if i should just wait. im wondering if its my pants rubbing on the incision when i move around. id like to be able to take some time off to just let my body heal, but i dont have that luxury anymore; i have kat to take care of. life doesnt just stop because i need to. maybe i could use some moleskin to let it breathe while it stays dry? any suggestions?
