so i finally saw the gyn today...
its only been 2 years that ive waited. ever since the frequency of this whole pelvic pain thing has increased.
the good: it doesnt appear to actually be anything related to any organ. its definately not systemic or disease related. i have nothing abnormal in my uterus or ovaries or fallopian tubes or bladder or bowels. all is normal.
the bad: this still means that i have no idea what is actually causing this pain
the weird: the gyn i saw today (who is the head of surgery for gynecology for the va hospital) thinks i may be having referred pain from my spine and that this isnt a gynecological issue at all. so i may be going back to neuro
and finally the good weird: i get to think about tubal ligation for the next month until i go back to make sure i really want to do this. but in the process of doing the tubal ligation, they will also take a check around my insides to make sure that all is well before sending me off to the next specialist
