After One Year of Fighting
After one year of fighting, I don't think you know what you fought for.
After one year of fighting, "appreciate family around you" hasn't fully sunk in.
After one year of fighting, "stubborness" persists.
After one year of fighting, "flexibility" isn't part of the deal.
But after one year, the daughter-in-law you claim to treat like your own still goes the extra mile for you. Even though stubbornness persists and flexibility is absent. Even though you have proven that "人善被人欺" at her expense.

A friend shared her honest evaluation on human nature. It hit. Another friend gave some varying opinions. They made sense. Again, the chance to make my decisions. Not because of other people or for them. Lord grant me wisdom.
