Recent recs and relaxation

I have these grandiose plans of updating this more, but then I get distracted.
Distractions recently have included Final Fantasy Tactics 2 Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together and my foodblog. also I'm not really into Radiohead's newest album, this makes me a bad fan and I don't care

MEGAMIND

IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN DESPICABLE ME

Dude, I want to get psyched up for Megamind (esp. with your glowing review) but damn if I didn't get burned by the interwebs' hard-on for Tangled! Of course, since you were iffy on that as well I figure that Megamind should be pretty great.

I guess what it boils down to is that I had NO expectations for Despicable Me, and it turned out to be pretty decent (albeit oddly paced).

Hahaha when Tangled came out and everyone loved it I honestly thought I was taking crazy pills. I was like, "D-did we watch the same movie?"

But yeah I watched Megamind expecting it to SUCK, so lower your expectations just in case. I think the side of me that likes COMICS and SUPERHEROES really loved Megamind.

ALSO dude are you excited for Rango?

I AM NOT SURE WHAT TO THINK OF RANGO. The last movie that had talking animals of that caliber was that OWLS OF GAHOOL movie, and I'm kinda dubious of all of that. But maybe! at least I know they won't sing really lame songs orz

I'm watching it tonight so I'll probably make a post about it or something. I'm SUPER excited for it. I LOVE the Dollars trilogy and it looks like Gore Verbinski does too so I'm just really excited for the gorgeous desert shots
