Yikes, I don't think I've ever had so many concerts to look forward to!
This weekend, I have to decide if I'm going to hit up the mainstage (LCD Soundsystem, MIA, Yeasayer, ~*Pavement*~) or the dance stage (Chromeo, Neon Indian, Sleigh Bells) at the Virgin Freefest, and then I follow it up with the following weekend in Vegas at Matador's Lost Weekend (Pavement again, Sonic Youth, Spoon, Yo La Tengo, New Pornographers, Guitarwolf lolz). Thinking 'bout seeing Deerhunter in October, and seeing Sufjan Stevens in November. Just got informed about Andrew Bird playing at one of my favorite venues in December, and I picked up tix to see the recently-rebanded Dismemberment Plan come January.
Now Death from Above 1979 needs to rejoin C'MON YOU GUYS! epic neckbeards and all
Haha, and this brings up the fact that next week I'll be in Los Angeles and Vegas and the desert in-between, any good recs of what to do in Vegas/the surrounding deserts?
