So, Microsoft has this program called Songsmith. Basically, it lets you take a vocal track (really meant for you to sing in the speaker and whatnot) and then add backing instrumentals to create a song, like some bizarro form of karaoke.
Demo just came out, and people are now taking the original vocals from well-known songs to create things such as Billy Idol's White WeddingWITH BANJOS, a very poppy version of the Beastie Boys' Intergalactic, Rush's Tom Sawyer, and more. QUICK, GO SEE THEM BEFORE SOMEONE TAKES THEM DOWN!
