*blows dust off life journal*
Oh dear! I haven't posted on here in a while. And so much stuff has happened since then... well one good thing is I had a good Twenty-First birthday! Although it was a tiny bit overshadowed by family arguments and my biological father deciding that I was worthy of abit of attention after 18 years of no contact... If only I wasn't so damned curious about my half sister and neice/nephew I would tell him to drink a bottle of arsenic for all I cared. Pretty sure no one wants to hear me rant on that subject though!
Hmmm, big problem of the moment is what sword to buy with my money from my twenty-first. I think I like the swept hilt at armour class, but that'll mean a long waiting list and quite a bit of saving up... I really liked the feel of it at the re-enactors market though. I think I'll wait til Gonz's arrives so I can see what it's like to fight with.
The last few months of uni are really going to drag, I really want to finish now. After all the work I put in on my dissertation I have to summon some non-existent energy to do my exams. Then figure out what I'm supposed to do after Uni... ugh.
Rent-a-don was interesting. I can see where Keina got a lot of her mannerisms and humour after spending some time with Gwylym. :) I didn't want to give the rental car back this weekend, I really liked the astra! I was surprised at how easy it was to start driving again, since I hadn't driven since the accident. But now I just miss Milly all the more. :( But on some level I think it was good for me, and it makes me want to fight on Tuesday.
Also, I can't find the Welsh equivalent for Lady (having got my AoA on Saturday). It seems the closest approximation is for a title given to the wife of a lord or a wife of a gentlemen. Since I'm neither...
My scroll is really cool! The little me drawn in the corner is so well done it's scary, and it seems I'm to be followed every where by the song 'Wenllyn solves her problems with a schlager'. First Rent-a-don was my first event, and I passed my authorisation, second Rent-a-don I got my black braid and third rent-a-don I got my AoA and a red braid. I dread to know what next Rent-a-Don will bring! ;) Maybe I should aim to get the rest of my authorisations for then...
It was great to see Sarah, Leanne and Ave this weekend! It's great to get in to a good Harry Potter/books/Colin Firth (yum!)/Alan Rickman (yum!)/Jason Issac (yum!) deep discussion.
Anyway, this nice long entry should keep Gonz satisfied at my never posting...
