My Kinabalu trip. Finally...
Day 1. [12 October 2004]
After a tiring and hectic day from work at batam, I took the time to soak in the reality that I'm gonna go on leave to climb the highest mountain in South East Asia. Although I have already done most of my packing, I realised that I was still short of a torchlight and some power chocolates for the energy to climb. Destination = NTUC. At the ever trustworthy supermarket, I thought I would find my most needed stuff there, but was sadly disappointed that the biggest NTUC in bishan located in Junction 8 did not have a dependable torchlight for travelling. But still, manage to find my pack of 5 snickers there and decided to make my way to the OTHER NTUC to further search for my treasure (not that its in gold, or silver). The treasure that would light up my path when I climb the steep and dangerous mountain.
I finally got back home at 8 to do my final packing and preparation to spend the night at wz's place as we had to leave for the causeway at 4.30am in order for us to catch our 7.45 am flight. I would spare you the details of the flight there since there's nothing really interesting other then one cab driver tried to charge us RM50 for a RM35 ride to Senai Airport.
