Lovely piece. When I read the title I gave a little laugh because it was funny during the show. But as I continued to read I felt more and more for Harriet Jones. She did save the world. More than one world in fact.

Yes Ms. Jones, we do know who you are and thank you.

Thank you! Yes, that line was something of a running joke, but as the story progressed I realised that it's not: it's actually our tribute to her. We do know who she is and what she did, and so do all of those who were part of the subwave network broadcast.

I so, so hope that the Doctor finds out what she did.

I am so glad you wrote this story! The was being an ass and spiteful, jealous and a control freak when he got her removed from office. No one except him or one of his companions should save earth. Earth should only be saved under his guidelines. He is so militarily foolish that I can't believe that this is the same man that fought the Time War.

Harriet Jones is the Spirit of England. She is a sister to the Few who fought in the Battle of Britain. The world is worth fighting for even if you die in the attempt, alone and unheralded.

Thank you - I'm really glad you like this :)

I'm still completely torn on the TCI incident. I agree that the Doctor was being overbearing and arrogant, and he shouldn't have acted so precipately. He changed history with those words of his, and he knew it. Yet I don't know whether I believe Harriet did the right thing or not. Even if she was wrong, so was he :(

You know I enjoyed this when you shared it with me at the beginning. And this is such a lovely, fitting tribute to Harriet Jones, Former Prime Minister. Despite everything, she's willing to give it all up because she wants to save the world. Brilliant work, as always :)

Thank you! She deserved a fitting ending - she deserved closure - and I really, really love the way she was written in this episode. The one thing I'd like, and we didn't get, is for the Doctor to face her knowing what she did and to apologise.

Harriet Jones. So wonderful, so brilliant, everyone knows her name. [Even Daleks. I LOVED the fact that they said that!]

Oh, so beautiful. Harriet Jones really was a fantastic character. I wish we could do some kind of handwaving and bring her back. :-(

I would love to believe that she's not dead, and I can't help but wonder if there's a reason we didn't actually see her exterminated. Held hostage, perhaps? I so hope that the rumour about her being turned into a Dalek isn't true.

Thank you!

Yeah, that does make me wonder.

Nooooooo, not that.
