He watches the couple dancing around the weirdest time-ship he’s ever seen, and strategises.
He’s alive, that’s a bonus. Looks like he’s got transport and maybe a place to sleep, for now. They’ve rescued him, so they’ll want something from him, but that’s nothing new. He’s sung for his supper many times before.
Flirt, jester, lover, storyteller, hero, fall-guy, gigolo, negotiator, hired muscle, the guy with the guns - all services he’ll willingly offer them in exchange for his life and a roof over his head.
Only one thing won’t be on offer; one thing he’ll never give freely again.
