I haven't been very good with commenting, but I wanted to tell you I've really been enjoying this fic. I love anything with Nine, Rose, and Jack, especially when it's as nicely written as this.

Brilliant Chapter! The characterizations are so spot on, that I'm hearing their voices when I'm reading it. Maybe that just telling me I've got to stop watching the first season of Doctor Who so often. Anyway, can't wait for the next chapter.

Love how you are examining the relationship between Jack and the Doctor. You've done a brilliant job portraying the nuances of their relationship -- particularly in the way you've shown Jack trying to understand the Doctor and his motivations. I also like how Rose is integral to the story (and their relationship) without being the focus of it. You've struck a nice balance between the three of them. By focusing on the Doctor and Jack, you're giving us a wonderful view of the development of the relationship between these two men.

What makes the relationship between the three of them so fascinating, as we see it from Boom Town onwards, is that each of them is integral to it. It's not the Doctor and Rose with Jack on the side; it's the Doctor and Rose, Rose and Jack and Jack and the Doctor. And the three of them together, too. It's so obvious, by the time we see them in Boom Town, that all three have come to be very close to each other. If I'm managing to show that closeness, that integral relationship, in this story - and show how it's developing - then I'm happy :)

Just found this chapter at better_with_3 and I backed up to read the previous ones first (sorry, didn't stop to comment on each one because I was clicking the links as fast as I could to get to the next installment! ;) ). I have to tell you, this has been such a wonderful treat: it's practically like getting another episode of season 1! *wistful sigh* ;) The characterizations are dead-on and the situations could've fit perfectly into canon. I've enjoyed this SO much and I can't wait to read the rest! Beautiful job! ♥!
