Oh, wow. What an amazing beginning to a fic. I can so picture the Doctor, after Jack spilled the beans about going back to watch Rose, giving in to temptation and doing the same thing. But he can't resist. And how perfect for Rose to realize that something's not right--and that it's the fact that there's something up with both the Doctor and the TARDIS. I can't wait till the next chapter!!!

Thank you! We were both blushing at this :) And who didn't love Jack's confession that he went back and watched Rose grow up?

Yes, Rose is clever and intuitive enough - and knows the TARDIS and the Doctor well enough - to figure out that all's not well. But could she ever work out exactly what's up? Next chapter coming soon :)

Wow, I am so looking forward to more of this story.

Throughout this chapter you can feel the Doctor's pain and although I am aching for him I can't help the sense of impending doom because I know what he's done it going to cause trouble.

I hope the Doctor won't still lose Rose due to the paradox he's surely about to cause here.

Anyway, great writing and I can't wait for more of this!

Oh, we're really glad you're enjoying it enough to want more! And we'll be posting more soon.

Yes, the Doctor's really hurting, and we're pleased that's coming across. But sense of impending doom? Paradox? Lose Rose? What are you implying about us? *grin*

Yes!

Yes, the Doctor's really hurting, and we're pleased that's coming across.

You're definitely conveying his pain well.

But sense of impending doom? Paradox? Lose Rose? What are you implying about us? *grin*

I fear the Doctor is going to lose Rose again, likely through a paradox he's created by changing the timeline. As others have said, he knows better than to do what he's done and I just can't shake off the sense of impending doom.

And I am implying you love angst and ripping up the hearts of your readers so you can stomp them flatter than flat. ;)

This is going to make me cry, right? It's already damned close to doing so.

Awesome beginning. The angst is so perfect. Not over the top, but acknowledging all the recent losses. It hurts. But just right.

More soonish, yeah?

Would we make you cry? ;)

But we are glad that this hurts, cruel as it might sound. We were trying really hard to convey how broken the Doctor is after everything he's been though, having lost everything he cared about yet again. Thank you! And, yes, there'll be more soon :)

Brilliant, huh? Thank you! :))) Yes, we didn't think we'd ever seen a fic where he did actually steal her from his past self before, which is why we had to write this one. But, of course, it couldn't be a simple, straightforward decision that he was going to do it, because he just wouldn't do that. One thing just led to another... and here he is.
