So I should be working on my two ongoing multi-chaptered fics. And I am, really! But there's Jackie, and comments on my last drabble that got me thinking, and - well, here it is. Not BRed this time.

Poor Jackie.

And I envy your ability to turn out something in complete form, even if it's taking you away from your chaptered fics. I can't even manage that much now! Damned real life getting in my way.

Oh, poor you! :( I havent been posting replies to many peoples LJs lately because of still being away, but Ive been following the saga. Drabbles are easy, though! Just 100 words.

(And the apostrophe key isnt working in IE at the moment on this borrowed laptop, and I cant reboot to sort it out as its not my laptop, so please excuse the lousy punctuation!)

More Jackie drabbles! I love it! :) Another beautiful and heartbreaking look into Jackie's sadness over Rose's decisions.

I just love Jackie :) And, as you saw, theres a series now. The next one will probably be set when Nine sends Rose home in POTW.

As for ten... count the words in the first sentence ;)

Oh, wow. That's one sucker-punch of a drabble! Especially that last line. Wonderful stuff as always.

Thank you so much! I love working in the drabble form, especially after Dave showed me how effective they can be with a gut-punch at the end :)

How do you manage to suck your reader right into the character's emotions in just a couple of paras? That's pure talent! I especially loved this sentence:

But worse is the danger that she’ll live, and realise that he loves her.

Count on Jackie to see what Rose can't see...

Youre too kind, Kae! Thank you. Im really, really pleased that you found time to read this. And, yes, Jackie was always very sharp when it came to the Doctor and his relationship with Rose: her infatuation, the fact that he couldnt promise to keep her safe and so on. She may have come to care about him too later, but she was never blind to the problems of getting close to the Doctor.
