The Greatest Betrayal
He was my best friend. But he never trusted me.
He’d provoke an argument to get me out of his way so he could do something I’d think was insane. Lie to me rather than trust me with a secret that could be dangerous. Pretend to do something nice for me when all along he was experimenting - not that he fooled me! And tell me he was better off alone than being protected by friends.
But this hurts most of all. He’s hidden the truth from me, the one who’s always saved him - when I would have died for him.
